I don't think the government should punish HP for selling printers to Iran. On the contrary — with ink prices costing roughly $112,000.00 per barrel, we could bankrupt the Iranian economy if we could get them to print more. I think I know just the team to help out....

I read all of Cliff Stoll's books 8 years ago, and I often channel his contrarianism about social networking, computers in education, and even my own choice of current occupation. According to the awful Valley Patriot, ETPC newsroom employees voted 85-52 against the initiative to unionize. During the election on thursday and friday, the North Andover building practically shut down -- or at least, everybody kept silent. Managers weren't allowed to wander the halls, and any doors leading up to the Ed-Center had to be closed AT ALL TIMES.
